The European Medical Stundents' Congress
One of the principle tasks of EMSA is the promotion of medical education and science.
The EMSCon combines both by creating a composition of interesting lectures and interactive workshops that deal with red hot, EU-relevant, socially important topics, going beyond the normal daily curriculum of medical students.
Lectures are given by special invited speakers, experts on the main theme of the Congress, thus presenting a view of the situation in Europe, the differences between the European States and how medical students and junior doctors can contribute in "shaping" the future.
With the creation of small working groups, each one tackling one of the many aspects of the main theme of the Congress, the participants finally form a "resolution", which is an official policy paper of EMSA (to be adopted by the next General Assembly) that voices the opinions of European medical students, as expressed during the, usually 3, Sessions of the EMS Congress.
